Welcome to the National Online Teacher Training (NOTT) programme. NOTT is a new approach to teacher training that suits modern busy lifestyles.

Train to teach with NOTT and gain PGCE with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) in one of the following subjects:

• Biology
• Physics
• Chemistry
• Mathematics
• English
• French
• Spanish
• Computer Science
• Geography

Why train with NOTT?

The NOTT programme is a full-time course that will let you train to become a qualified teacher. Our expert team will support you at every stage of your training, from the first days in school to applying for your first teaching job. Some of the benefits of our programme include:

Online & school based

The NOTT programme is designed to maximise your school-based experience to make you the best teacher you can be. Starting in September 2021, you will be based in your placement school, gaining teaching experience right from the start of your ITT year.

You will use the online resources to enhance your teacher training and classroom practice.

Are you eligible?

To be eligible to apply to NOTT you will need the following:

• GCSEs in English and Maths of level 4 (old GCSE grade C);
• a degree, but this does not need to be in the subject you want to teach;
• a passion for teaching and working with young people.
